About | neverapply.ai

Back in 2014 I was in my early twenties. Newly married. Stuck working at an airline call center near DFW Airport. It was the kind of job you take because you need a job.

That summer I scraped together enough for a road trip to Austin. Barely. But somewhere on that drive, my phone rang. A recruiter had found my resume online. Suddenly I had a 9am interview back home in DFW that following Monday.

I didn't fully understand what had just happened. But I said yes.

Five years, a house, and three cars later: I was promoted and shipped off to fill a role in sunny California. I was over the moon.

But then barely two years in, I quit. The job had taught me I was capable of more. So I started paddling out on my own. Soon enough, I started sinking.

Then a recruiter found me again. They pulled me back to Illinois for a role that kept everything from falling apart while I figured out my next move.

But still itching for life on my own terms, I left again. Real estate was calling. I took the classes, passed the exam. Nine months later I closed my first house and walked away with a check for $950. Real estate wasn't going to work.

Then a recruiter found me. A well-paying role at a prominent company, close to $105,000 a year. I was relieved. I took the job and kept my real estate license in my back pocket.

But by this point, I wanted California. I wanted out.

Then (you already know how this ends) a recruiter found me and made that return move possible.

The experience forced me to face a painful truth: I had not built my career. Recruiters built my career for me.

Every pivotal jump. Every rescue. Every upgrade. A recruiter initiated it. None of it was the result of me banging on doors or cold-applying into a void. It was not me refreshing job boards at midnight or calling in favors from the right people. Someone was getting paid to find me, evaluate me, and decide that a company somewhere needed to talk to me.

Some people call that luck. I call it a system. And it's closed to anyone who doesn't know it exists. Not because they're unqualified, but because nobody told them.

By the time I built Valkyrie Media in California, my advertising and AI automation agency, I had a new problem: I was too busy to respond. Recruiters were emailing me constantly. Good roles. Real money. Six-figure budgets their corporate clients were dying to spend. But I was buried in client work at 11pm while those emails aged out and companies moved on.

"You were number 2 on a list of 47. By the time you looked up, they were on number twenty-three. Your window had closed."

So I built a bot. Not out of desperation, out of principle. I knew there were real companies on the other end of those emails who genuinely needed my help. I knew those checks would do wonders to stabilize my startup and help me stop bumming gas money from friends and family when projects ran dry. I just needed a backstop: some way to stay visible to the most important conversations of my life while I was out here building my life. Living my life.

Two weekends later, a basic recruiter-response system was born. I named him Broly. (Yes, that Broly.)

And Broly worked. Better than I ever expected. Response rates I could only have dreamed of before. Whole professional conversations I never initiated: answered. Offers I could evaluate from leverage, not panic. I could focus on my startup, on me, on my life and not feel guilty for missing a job I might come to loathe in another five years anyway.

Then I stopped and looked around.

The AI-fueled job apocalypse was upon us.

“But if a man doesn’t have a job or an income, he has neither life nor liberty nor the possibility for the pursuit of happiness. He merely exists.”

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. · “Remaining Awake Through a Great Revolution,” March 31, 1968

You.
Yes, you.

You're out there doing everything right... and getting nothing back.

Maybe you're 22, did everything the guidance counselor told you, and still can't get a single callback. Maybe you're 40, laid off, and know exactly what you're worth but can't get anyone on the phone. Or maybe you're 55, five years from retirement, and you know there's one more big move left in you..... if only the right person could find you.

Your age isn't what decides this. Legally, it can't be. What decides it is whether a recruiter can find you, whatever stage you're in.

The economy has split. The people on the top half have tools, networks, and leverage working for them while they sleep. The people on the bottom half are competing harder, for less, with less support, in one of the toughest hiring markets in years.

neverapply puts you on the receiving end of the call, wherever you are in your story.

Recruiters, headhunters, scouts, and talent agents aren't just for the NBA, NFL, or Ivy League Fortune 500 companies. I'm sorry nobody told you this before. But someone is looking to hire someone like you right now. As you are reading this. Why? Because the system has always worked this way.

But now you know. So now you can use it.

Pay off your credit cards. Your house. Take a sabbatical. Try a new industry. Or just quit the rat race to rest.

But please never worry about not being valuable. Never worry about not being wanted. We need you out here.

The sun doesn't apply for permission to shine. Neither do you.

What we believe
01
The desire to be seen is not a luxury.
Being recognized for your work, your skills, and your potential is a fundamental human need, not a vanity. neverapply exists because that need should never be gated behind who you know, how fast you type, or whether you caught the email at the right hour.
02
Your data belongs to you. Completely.
neverapply works inside your own Google account. We don't store your emails, and we don't cache or keep your requests. Your resume and your profile stay in your account. We built it this way on purpose.
03
Speed is a competitive advantage. You deserve it.
Recruiters move forward with the candidates who respond first, not always the most qualified. This has always been true. What's new is that you can now respond first, every time, without lifting a finger. That's not cheating. That's parity.
04
You are a company of one. Act like it.
Every company has a marketing budget, a pipeline, a system for generating inbound interest. You are a company. neverapply is your career marketing department. $33/month with code RECRUITED is not an expense. It's the line item your personal budget has been missing for years.

The call is coming.
Be ready when it does.
